Join Our Team as a Work Place Assistant

The Work Placement Assistant role is designed to provide practical workplace experience while supporting the day to-day operation of warehouse and stores activities. The placement will involve assisting with a range of non-skilled operational duties including stock handling, housekeeping, delivery preparation and general stores support. The role will provide an opportunity to gain experience within a busy operational environment, learn safe working practices, and develop confidence in teamwork, communication and workplace responsibilities.

About the Role:

As a Work Place Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Assist with receiving and sorting deliveries into the warehouse or stores area.
  • Support with checking deliveries against paperwork and placing goods in designated storage locations
  • Support counter service by helping locate items and preparing requests for collection.
  • Assist with document filing, archiving and other basic administrative tasks
  • Follow written and verbal instructions regarding duties and daily priorities.
  • Work alongside operational teams and support colleagues as directed.
  • Ability to deal with situations and reach solutions attractive to all parties showing understanding and tact. • Accurate and timely report writing.

What we are looking for:

Essential

  • Basic IT Skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure
  • Have an ability to deliver succinct and clear verbal and written reports where necessary
  • Able to demonstrate an ability to work as part of a team.
  • An understanding of the principles of equality and diversity in relation to visitors' needs.
