Salary:£15.72 per hour ( Raising to £18.63 with CPCS Traffic Marshal qualification and passing an on-site assessment)

 

Please note interviews for this position will be held via an assessment centre on Wednesday 1st April 2026 or Thursday 16th April, at Junction 24 Conference Centre, Bridgwater, TA6 6DF.

** This position requires you to have a CPCS Traffic Marshal qualification (or willing to work towards) **

Due to continuous growth, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Traffic Marshal at Hinkley Point C. 
 
As a Traffic Marshal, you will play a key role in providing support to logistics operations by assisting with vehicle manoeuvring in designated construction material delivery areas. 

You will utilise electronic systems to ensure correct bookings are in place to allow access to construction delivery routes. You will have the ability to work with the blue and white-collar workforce. You will be part of a great team, who are supportive and friendly. 

 Please note this job opening is for varied working days and nights, working on a 4-5-5 shift pattern. The shift pattern is 06:00-18:00 or 18:00 – 06:00.

 

Key Duties:

  • Assist with vehicle manoeuvring in designated construction material delivery areas
  • Utilise electronic systems to ensure correct bookings are in place to allow access to construction delivery routes.
  • Act as traffic marshal for deliveries.
  • To utilise the bell-to-bell recording system for each shift as directed by your line manager.
  • To ensure that you wear the correct PPE and your HPC ID pass is always on display while at work.
  • Use Fulcrum (digital scheduling tool) to ensure the correct booking slots are complied with and work with all stakeholders that need access to delivery areas – training given.
  • Any additional reasonable duties requested by your supervisor.

  • Core hours 11.14 + 0.36 will be paid at an overtime rate. There is also an uplift for unsocial hours on the night shifts.

Essential Skills and Qualifications 

  • CITB Operative H&S test (must be completed before the start date) 
  • Good IT skills
  • CPCS Traffic Marshal qualification (or willing to work towards). 

Site Specific Information  

  • You must be able to provide a 3-year work/ unemployment/ education history and the required vetting process in line with HPC protocols. 
  • You must be able to obtain the HPC pass. 
  • The site is located remotely and a bus journey of 45 minutes each way is required to gain access.
