We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Senior Learning & Development Business Partner, where you will join a dynamic and innovative team,  contributing to the growth and success of Wilson James by fostering a culture of learning and development.  The Senior Learning & Development  Business Partner plays a pivotal role in aligning learning strategies with our business objectives. With expertise in instructional design, delivery, evaluation, the role is essential in driving organisational growth through enhancing people capabilities.

A typical day in the life as a Senior Learning and Development Business Partner:

  • Consult and business partner with management teams to understand divisional goals and priorities, to develop comprehensive learning strategies that support WJs objectives.
  • Continually review the needs of the allocated business area(s), conduct thorough needs assessments to identify learning needs, performance gaps, and learning requirements.
  • Design and implement innovative learning programmes that address skills gaps, encourage professional development, and enhance the capabilities of our people.
  • Develop and curate a diverse range of learning materials to ensure it caters to different learning styles and levels and is inclusive for all.
  • Analyse learning effectiveness and continually review and refine strategies to ensure optimal performance outcomes and value add.
  • Deliver high impact learning sessions, using effective instructional techniques, engaging content delivery methods that promote inclusive development for all.

What are we looking for? 

  • CIPD qualification or related academic teaching qualification e.g. Level 3 Education & Training
  • Significant experience in Learning and Development roles and managing L&D programmes.
  • Strong instructional design skills and experience in delivering a variety of learning methods.
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing effective learning programmes aligned to business goals.
  • Experience of managing apprenticeship programmes and managing the apprenticeship levy.
  • Data analytical skills to interpret learning effectiveness data
