We are looking for someone to join us as a Senior Insurance Manager to join us on a part time basis, whose primary focus will be to ensure that Wilson James is appropriately insured as an essential basis for the lawful and compliant conduct of its commercial operations. As a Senior Insurance Manager, you will be the lead manager of all workplace policies and liaise with the leads for employee relations and complaint case work, forming a full picture of the Company's insurance risk and highlighting complex or high-risk cases for attention. You will maintain effective relationships with the Company's broker and insurers, improve our risk management proposition, and recommend change based on learning from cases and risk assessment. This role is ideal for you if you are currently working in insurance management or working for an insurance underwriter or broker and looking to take on a better life-work balance, moving away from your full-time role and working 3 days a week.

A typical day in the life as a Senior Insurance Manager:   

• Negotiate and manage insurances for a complex business with diverse operating sectors and a large employee base 
• Identify ‘red flag' or complex cases, ‘joining the dots', presenting issues for decision and mitigating risk 
• Coordinate and review cases & risks on monthly basis  
• Respond effectively to & coordinate with third parties such as broker & insurer, working to improve our risk management proposition  
• Manage data & reporting providing a single view of potential and current claims and visibility of claims liability including Claims Tracker Portal and linking with Complaint data  
• Internal Focal point recommending process and system change

 
What are we looking for?  

• Previous experience in insurance management including working for an insurance underwriter or broker
• Experience with management of insurance policies and relationships with brokers, insurers & lawyers 
• Practical knowledge of legal aspects of governance in terms of insurance claims (civil liability) and workplace injuries 
• Organisational skills and able to be an effective internal focal point & champion for change 
• Evidence of professional development in the insurance sector  
• Work experience within environments such as Security, Aviation, Construction Logistics is desirable. 
• Membership of CII (Chartered Insurance Institute), Degree (Bachelor or above) in Business Administration/ Risk Management or a related field
