Join Our Team as a Security Safety Support Officer!
We are looking for a self-motivated officer to join us on our Security Safety and Support Officer contract for our client based in Birmingham, the UK's flagship transport levelling-up project.
As a Security, Safety, Support Officer, you will work as part of a small team of mobile patrol officers on a large infrastructure project, gathering information and offering security and support to our clients across a range of sites. You will be responsible for preventing unauthorised persons from entering prohibited areas, directing emergency vehicles and traffic, and, at times, controlling crowds.
About the Role:
As a Security Safety and Support Officer you will be responsible for:
- Welcoming staff and visitors and creating a safe, professional atmosphere
- Conducting regular patrols and monitor premises to prevent unauthorised access, theft, or vandalism.
- Monitoring access points, CCTV, and handling security procedures
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents, taking appropriate action as needed.
- Complete detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and any security concerns.
- Assist in emergency situations, including evacuations and first aid support if required.
- Adapting to different client sites – no two days are the same
- Responding calmly and confidently to incidents or concerns
- Working as part of a diverse, supportive team

What we are looking for:
- Door Supervisor Licence (mandatory)
- First Aid
- A full UK Driver's licence is essential as you will be driving a patrol vehicle (mandatory).
- High-level report writing skills.
- Excellent customer engagement skills with excellent verbal and communication skills
- Experience with security surveillance.
- High level of attention to detail, timekeeping, and ability to prioritise time effectively.
- Demonstrate the ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure.
