Location: Based in London, but must be able to travel to other sites across the UK as and when required
Hours: Full Time - 50 hours per week, Monday to Friday 0800 to 1800
Pay: £75,000 to £82,000 depending on experience
Join Our Team as a Security Operations Director
We have a new and exciting job opportunity to join us at one of our high profile clients as a Security Operations Director. You will take full accountability for the delivery of the security services contract between the client and Wilson James, ensuring full compliance with all contractual, statutory, and service-level requirements. You will work in close partnership with key stakeholders to deliver a professional, seamless, and consistently high-quality security service.
Leading and supporting the WJ security management teams, you will provide strategic and operational oversight of day-to-day security operations, driving performance through strong leadership, governance, and continuous improvement. Acting as the primary operational point of contact for all security matters, you will ensure effective incident management, clear communication, and rapid, appropriate responses, maintaining the highest standards of service delivery at all times.
About the Role:
As a Security Operations Director you will be responsible for:
- Offering first line security support to our customer base
- Managing the security teams through the security managers always maintaining exceptional standards, being the go-to person on all security matters
- Reviewing processes on a regular basis to ascertain best practice and ensure up to date with systems
- Monitoring the training regime and training records of the security team
- Keeping up to date with all security matters in order to offer guidance to our customer as required
- Managing the security risk assessment and close off action points as appropriate.
- Maintaining a succession plan
- Maintaining a regular communication line with governmental organisations e.g. Police, CT

What we are looking for:
- SIA Licence
- First Aid at Work certificate
- Access to travel to various sites across the UK
- Proven experience in security and people management
- Must have worked in a corporate head office environment
- Must have worked in an environment where excellence in customer service is a top priority
- Must be able to travel to various sites
