Join Our Team as a Security Officer!

We're looking for a professional Security Officer to join our team at our client's site in the Elliot Industrial Estate, Arbroath. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff, visitors, and contractors. You'll be based in the gatehouse, recording deliveries and contractor movements, monitoring access, and ensuring only authorised individuals enter the site. Regular patrols and a strong security presence are key parts of the role. You'll also support wider site security by monitoring systems, responding to incidents, completing documentation, and communicating effectively with colleagues and stakeholders. Your vigilance and professionalism will help protect people, property, and assets.

About the Role:

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for:

• Welcoming staff and visitors and creating a safe, professional atmosphere
• Conducting regular patrols and monitor premises to prevent unauthorised access, theft, or vandalism.
• Monitoring access points, CCTV, and handling security procedures
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents, taking appropriate action as needed.
• Complete detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and any security concerns.
• Assist in emergency situations, including evacuations and first aid support if required.
• Adapting to different client sites – no two days are the same
• Responding calmly and confidently to incidents or concerns
• Working as part of a diverse, supportive team

What we are looking for:

• To hold a current DS or SG SIA Licence
• Proven experience in a security role or a similar position.
• Strong observational skills with the ability to identify and respond to security threats.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff, visitors, and authorities.
• Ability to remain calm and act decisively in high-pressure situations.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
