Hours: Full Time, Nights only. This will be a rolling rota over 2 weeks, where 1 week is 5 on, 3 off, and then the next is 4 on, 2 off. Working an average of 48 hours a week.

About the Role:

As a Security Officer, you will:

  • Ensure the safety, security, and wellbeing of all staff, visitors, and contractors, maintaining the integrity of the building at all times.
  • Deliver excellent customer service, handling all situations calmly, professionally, and with strong communication.
  • Monitor access control and CCTV systems, responding proactively to suspicious activity, alarms, and emergencies.
  • Carry out thorough building patrols and security checks using TrackTIK, ensuring all areas are secure, including risers and roof doors.
  • Complete all required administrative tasks, including daily logs, monthly checks, occupancy reports, handovers, and DOB entries.
  • Manage access passes, incident reporting, and maintenance logging through systems such as Gallagher, TrackTik, HOST, and Notify.
  • Cover reception duties in a friendly, professional manner, responding to emails and requests in the Site Manager's absence.
  • Follow all Assignment Instructions, HSE regulations, and company procedures, supporting management with any additional reasonable duties.

What we are looking for:

  • To hold a current DS SIA Licence
  • Ability to build warm, positive rapport and deliver excellent customer service to everyone on site
  • Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to write accurate and professional reports
  • Calm, steady decision‑making, especially when responding to unexpected situations or emergencies
  • Adaptable and comfortable adjusting to different tasks, systems, and client needs
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to supporting the wider team through consistent attendance
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively, using initiative when needed
  • Professional personal presentation and a reassuring, approachable manner with colleagues and visitors
  • Basic IT skills and confidence using digital systems for reporting, logging, and communication
  • Understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusive service delivery for all building users
