We are looking for a Security Officer to join us at our client site in Tring, Hertfordshire.
Our client is part of a group of Museums who hold many different events over the course of a year. These include weddings and corporate events.

As a Security Officer you are an integral part of the team and  responsible for actively monitoring and operating control room systems and radio transmissions to help in coordinating and directing security response to protect the Museum's estate, including its collections and assets and maintaining a secure and safe environment for visitors, staff and contractors including high profile events.

A typical day in the life as a Security Officer:  

  • To carry out security patrols across the Museum's site and buildings as per post/ patrol instructions, SOPs' and AIs' and/ or as directed by Security Supervisors/ Managers
  • To play an integral role in any emergency including fire evacuation, terrorist incident, dealing with unsocial behaviour, first aid incidents etc.
  • Provide a visible preventative security presence at posts and through patrolling ‘Front of House', galleries, foyers, and perimeter areas including ‘bag search' and ‘Back of House' collections facilities, libraries, and other museum areas.
  • To investigate matters of concern reported by the control room including alarm activations. 
  • Undertake other ad hoc security duties when required such as event/ function security.
