We are looking for a Security Officer  to join us at our client site in Tring, Hertfordshire.
Our client is part of a group of Museums that houses one of the finest collections of taxidermy mammals, birds, reptiles and insects in the United Kingdom. The site also hosts a variety of events for corporate clients and public such as weddings and parties. 

As a Security Officer you will be an integral part of the team and you can make an impact with your skills to protect, deter and respond to any security matters, whilst providing an exceptional customer service experience.

A typical day in the life as a Security Officer:  

  • To carry out security patrols across the Museum's site and buildings
  • To play an integral role in any emergency including fire evacuation, terrorist incident, dealing with unsocial behaviour, first aid incidents etc.
  • Provide a visible preventative security presence at posts and through patrolling ‘Front of House', galleries, foyers, and perimeter areas including ‘bag search' and ‘Back of House' collections facilities, libraries, and other museum areas.
  • To investigate matters of concern reported by the control room including alarm activations. 
  • Undertake other ad hoc security duties when required such as event/ function security.

  • DS SIA Licence 
  • Deliver excellent customer service
  • Demonstrate the ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure
  • Able to demonstrate an ability to work as part of a team.
  • Demonstrate reliability including the ability to deliver high standards of both punctuality and
    attendance to ensure team effectiveness and availability
