As a Security Controller you will bring excellent customer service, have a super smart personal presentation and entrusted to protect premises ensuring a safe working environment for visitors, staff and contractors. You are required to have a highly visible presence in a fantastic working culture and prevent any illegal or inappropriate activities that might arise. In addition to playing an active role in incident response your goal will be to detect, deter, protect in a professional and confident manner we would love to hear from you!
About the Role:
As a Security Controller! you will be responsible for:
- Deliver a professional command and control service
- Provide immediate support to Estate and Building Teams to mitigate risk.
- Trust you instinct and report anything suspicions, out of the ordinary or unusual.
- Be aware of contractor movement aware of work permits including lone worker supervision
- Manage control room-based keys and assets such as radios and equipment with MyTag
- Ensure all lone workers are monitored and managed thoroughly throughout their shift
- Provide accurate and timely early warning of risks assets and people
- Proactively work with and for Property Managers and their teams in support of Broadgate
- Control interface between Property Management (Broadgate) and retailers and contractors
- Ensure all training is completed on time
- Daily/weekly reports as required relating to the activities of your area of responsibility
- Manage, mitigate and when required investigate all incidents including gathering electronic evidence
- Produce all operational documentation in an accurate and compliant format. Transmit all documents and
Information in a timely secure manner using the cascade process, incident reports submitted within 2 hours.
- Produce templates for all official department operational forms and documentation; maintain such (E) files on the one drive ensuring such files are up to date, secure and accessible to the management team

What we are looking for:
- Excellent customer engagement skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with security surveillance and access control systems
- High level of attention to detail, timekeeping, and ability to prioritise time effectively
- An understanding of the principles of equality and diversity in relation to security staff
- Demonstrate the ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure
- Demonstrate reliability including the ability to deliver high standards of both punctuality and attendance
- Able to deal calmly and confidently with all demands from staff and management team
- Be trained at all building control rooms to ensure best practice and resilience is maintained
- Deal with visitors to the security control room providing them with a personal service and guidance
- Strong data inputting and administration skills
- Demonstrate proven negotiation, listening and problem-solving skills
- Have experience in dealing with multiple issues at once, prioritising and resolving problems
- Experience in critical asset, crisis, and incident management
- SIA CCTV licence
