Location: Broadgate, London
Hours: 42 hours per week, 4 on 4 off, days and nights
Pay: £16.09 p.h

Are you a vigilant and dedicated professional looking for a rewarding career in security? We are seeking a reliable and proactive Security Controller to help maintain a safe and secure environment for our staff, visitors, and assets. This role will be responsible for delivering the command-and-control function using fire control room systems, processes and procedures at any Broadgate based fire or control room. If you have strong observational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to handle situations calmly and professionally, we would love to hear from you!

About the Role:

As a Security Controller, you will be responsible for:

• Demonstrable and proven experience of working in a fire control room environment.
• Deal with visitors to the fire control room providing them with a personal service and guidance
• Monitoring access points, CCTV, and handling security procedures
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents, taking appropriate action as needed.
• Complete detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and any security concerns.
• Assist in emergency situations, including evacuations and first aid support if required.
• Adapting to different client sites – no two days are the same
• Responding calmly and confidently to incidents or concerns
• Working as part of a diverse, supportive team

What we are looking for:

• To hold a current DS SIA Licence
• Valid SIA CCTV licence
• Proven experience in a security role or a similar position.
• Strong observational skills with the ability to identify and respond to security threats.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff, visitors, and authorities.
• Ability to remain calm and act decisively in high-pressure situations.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
