Hours: Monday to Friday 08.00-16.00
Pay: £36,983 annual salary

Join our team at Birmingham Airport as a Resource and Planning Manager, playing a crucial role, you will be responsible for managing the scheduling and allocation of staff within the assisted travel service. Your role is critical in ensuring that the service runs smoothly, especially during peak times, by adapting to fluctuating demands and maintaining high operational standards. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure a seamless experience for passengers requiring assisted travel services.

About the Role

As a Resource and Planning Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Regularly analyse passenger flow data, historical trends, and seasonal fluctuations to accurately forecast staffing requirements. This involves reviewing flight schedules, special events, and peak travel times to ensure sufficient staffing.
• Real-Time Adjustments: Monitor ongoing operations and make real-time adjustments to the roster as necessary, responding to unexpected changes in passenger volume or staff availability

• Serve as the primary point of contact with staffing agencies, ensuring timely communication and issue resolution regarding staff allocations and performance.

• Maintain accurate records of staff attendance, absence, and performance metrics. Ensure data is validated and updated promptly to reflect actual operational requirements.

What we are looking for:

 Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyse data and forecast resource needs effectively.
• Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with staff, management, and external agencies.
• Adaptability: Capable of responding swiftly to changing demands and operational challenges.
• Technical Proficiency: Experience with resource management software (e.g., Time gate) and scheduling tools.
• Experience: Background in resource planning, operations management, or a related field, preferably in a high-demand environment like an airport.
• Track record of strong communication skills
• Basic IT Skills
