We are actively seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our busy team as a Passenger Assisted Services Apprentice working at Heathrow Airport. This apprenticeship offers an incredible opportunity to develop customer service skills and start your career within the vibrant aviation sector. 

  • Gain hands-on experience working as a Passenger Assisted Services agent, providing support as required to special assistance passengers as they navigate the terminal and board or disembark from the aircraft.
  • Provide first-rate service to passengers who will be travelling worldwide, escorting arriving, and departing special assistance passengers (along with accompanying family as necessary) through the airport either on foot, by wheelchair or electric buggy/ caddy as required.
  • Gain valuable experience and be a vital part of the aviation community, where you will learn from our skilled and knowledgeable team on how to help passengers with their journeys, whether it is with their baggage, helping them to check in or even helping with their shopping!

 You will….

  • Be 18 years old or over and legally eligible to work in the UK by the time the apprenticeship starts in October 2024. 
  • Have worked in the UK for 3 years or more.
  • Have not attained a customer service qualification at level 2 or above.
  • Have a genuine passion for aviation and are excited to build your career in the industry.
  • Genuinely enjoy caring for people and making a positive impact on their travel experience.
  • Be committed to providing outstanding customer service with a positive can-do attitude.
  • Have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Have good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be willing to absorb knowledge and learn as you go!

In this role, you'll enjoy the flexibility of shift work. Typically, shifts run for 8 hours, varying between 4 am and 11 pm, and will include some weekends and bank holidays if they coincide with your shift pattern. You can expect a mix of early mornings and late evenings.

Individuals who have not yet achieved level 1 English and maths are required to achieve level 1 English and maths and take the test for level 2 prior to taking the End Point Assessment.
