We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as an Operations Manager (Nights) at Hinkley Point C.
As an Operations Manager (Nights) you will be underwriting logistics E2E productivity. Overseeing all aspects of the night operations, cross functional and deployed across the site.
You will be responsible for delivering foremost a safe and compliant operation, from receipt of permanent material and onward distribution to the maintenance of traffic management at delivery points and access areas to the reverse supply chain. Setting the conditions for maximum construction productivity from start of operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee night time operations to ensure timely decisions and delivery of materials and equipment.
- Implement robust systems and processes for efficient operations including safety reporting.
- Monitor performance metrics to meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Reporting and handover documentation to ensure maximum productivity for construction partners.
- Ensure DABS are delivered with consideration of construction activities and where necessary deconflict and prioritise workstreams to underwrite construction programmes.
- Conduct safety engagements/audits as routine.
- Deliver contingency planning and incident management plans and procedures with planned rehearsals in all areas.
- Act as the logistics primary point of contact for the construction operation nightly.
- Assess risks associated with logistics operations and implement mitigation strategies.
What do we need from you:
Skills, Experience
- Experience in leading cross-functional construction teams.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale logistics operations, preferably in the construction or energy sectors.
- Experience with distribution and supply operations. Including: lifting.
- Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Good understanding of the Logistics E2E framework and functional scope.
Qualifications
Essential
- CITB HS&E Managers and Professional (MAPS) test (must be completed before the start date)
Desirable
- First aid at work
- Manual Handling trained.
- Fire Marshal Trained
- Authorised Person
- NEBOSH
Site Specific Information:
- You must be able to provide a 3-year work history and required vetting process in line with HPC protocols.
- You must be able to obtain the HPC pass.
- The site is located remotely and a bus journey of 45 minutes each way is required to gain access.
