Hours: 4 on 4 off shift pattern including days and nights.
Pay: £15.45 hourly rate

Join Our Team as an Operational Supervisor!

To work at the number 1 attraction in the UK, a world class visitor attraction and leading science research centre. Be part of a team that care for more than 80 million objects spanning billions of years and welcome more than millions of visitors annually. As part of a 24-hour shift team be responsible for actively monitoring and operating control room systems and radio transmissions to help in coordinating and directing security response to protect the Museum's estate, including its collections and assets and maintaining a secure and safe environment for visitors, staff and contractors including high profile events.

About the Role:

As an Operational Supervisor you will be responsible for:

  • To actively and positively supervise a team of security officers ensuring all duties are carried in accordance with procedures and policies and ensure compliance with legal, Company and contractual obligations always.
  • To provide first-line Supervisory security response to incidents in public and ‘back of house' areas and ensure an effective security response to alarm activations on the access control system, case alarms and perimeter activations.
  • To actively check the Museum for H&S and Security issues and escalate accordingly and ensure that all faults are reported appropriately.

What we are looking for:

Essential

  • Deliver excellent customer service
  • Basic IT Skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure
  • Have an ability to deliver succinct and clear verbal and written reports where necessary

Essential

  • SIA Licence (DS & CCTV)
  • First Aid at Work certificate
