Working Pattern: Are on a Shift pattern working 4 12-hour shifts followed by 4 days off. The next week, working 5 12-hour shifts, followed by 5 days off.
Working Hours:1800 - 0600
Please note, interviews for this role will be conducted on Friday, 27th June 2025 during an assessment centre. The interviews will be held in Bridgwater, Somerset.
Due to continuous growth, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Logistics Operative at Hinkley Point C.
As a Logistics Operative within the Routine & Reactive department, you will play a key role in keeping the Compounds and wider site with a clean and safe environment through collaborative working with all colleagues on the HPC site.

- Hours worked over 9.75 per day will be paid at an overtime rate

Main Responsibilities
- Housekeeping of stores and compound areas
- Cleansing – on platforms
- Loading skips (supplied through a third party)
- Barrier realignment
- Footway maintenance – only using hand-operated plant.
- Signage install, maintenance and cleaning
- Pedestrian management activities during work activities impacting existing footways.
- Works generated through site H&S team, PVPI inspections, and Construction White Space Area (CWSA) team.
- Hand-loading loose or bagged material
- All works within CWSA.
- Ensure that HPC code of conduct is always followed
- Comply with the WJ Health and Safety Policy, procedures, and protocols always
- Ensure you are suitably qualified and have received daily briefings prior to commencing works
- Ensure that you are working in accordance with Work Approval process and permits
- Report any health and safety concerns to your line manager
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- CITB Operative H&S test (must be completed before the start date)
- Good communication Skills including written, and verbal.
Site Specific Information
- You must be able to provide a 3-year work/ unemployment/ education history and the required vetting process in line with HPC protocols.
- You must be able to obtain the HPC pass.
- The site is located remotely and a bus journey of 45 minutes each way is required to gain access.
