We have a brand new position in a constantly growing to join us as an Industrial Relation Manager at Hinkley Point C. 

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate working independently and using their own initiative to build the processes, relationships with main stakeholders and IR department. 

In this role you will play a pivotal role in maintaining a positive culture of employee relations across WJ and minimise disputes as much as possible throughout proactive consultation with the recognised trade unions. You will develop and manage IR strategy and relevant polices and ensure that WJ complies with all employment regulations. You will have strong communication skills and a natural ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • You must complete CITB Maps test before start. 
  • A Degree or equivalent in HR or Industrial relation.
  • Professional Qualification – (preferably CIPD) 

Experience:

  • Significant Industrial Relations experience in a management role working in an industrial unionised environment.    
  • Proven track record in large scale projects in the nuclear or similar regulated sector, including major construction projects. 
  • Ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. 
  • Politically aware - understands the multi stakeholder context in which the role operates and manifests a collaborative approach. 
  • An up-to-date knowledge of UK employment legislation. 
  • A positive and dynamic approach to challenges faced and ability to set high expectations. 

 
Site Specific Information  

  • You must be able to provide a 3-year work history required for vetting process in line with HPC protocols. 
  • You must be able to obtain the HPC pass. 
  • The site is located remotely and a bus journey of 45 minutes each way is required to gain access
