We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Safety Advisor to join the Wilson James team at Heathrow Airport, working across both our construction and infrastructure operations. This is a split-role supporting two areas of our business and covering both day and night shifts, ensuring round-the-clock safety excellence.

Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager (Construction), and working closely with the H&S Manager (Infrastructure), you'll play a key role in upholding and enhancing our safety culture, driving compliance, and championing safety leadership across one of the UK's most dynamic environments.

About the Role:

As a Health and Safety Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Monitor and ensure health & safety compliance across our Heathrow construction projects.
• Conduct site audits, safety inspections, and lead/assist incident investigations.
• Deliver briefings, campaigns, and safety initiatives that promote a proactive safety culture.
• Work collaboratively with project teams and client safety reps to meet KPIs and standards.
• Support training, maintain digital safety records, and use platforms like Notify and client portals.
• Attend internal and external safety meetings, including airside forums.

What we are looking for:

• Minimum 3–5 years' experience in construction safety, ideally with aviation exposure.
• NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (essential).
• Strong working knowledge of H&S governance and digital safety platforms.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills — both written and verbal.
• Ability to work across day and night shifts, across multiple locations.
• Professional, proactive, and committed to delivering excellence in safety.

Important Info

Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate will be required to pass security clearance for an airside pass at Heathrow.

Desirable Extras

• Full UK Driving Licence
• CSCS Card
• Level 3 Trainer/Assessor Certificate
• Previous experience working in aviation or airside operations
