Health & Safety Advisor

Location: Hinkley Point C (HPC)
Sector: Construction Logistics
Starting Salary: £42,500 per annum

We are looking for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join our team supporting the Hinkley Point C project.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in promoting and maintaining a positive health, safety and environmental culture. You will work closely with operational teams, managers, contractors and the wider Health & Safety team, providing professional guidance and supporting safe and compliant operations across the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide practical and professional Health & Safety advice across the project
• Carry out Health & Safety inspections and site audits
• Monitor employee and contractor working practices to ensure Health & Safety standards are maintained
• Support accident, incident and near-miss reporting
• Review and support RAMS and Health & Safety processes
• Work collaboratively with operational teams, contractors and other Health & Safety departments
• Identify unsafe practices and provide practical solutions
• Share best practice and contribute to continuous improvement

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Previous Health & Safety experience
• NEBOSH Construction or General Certificate
• CSCS Professional Card (White)
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations within the construction industry
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to build strong working relationships across different teams and levels

Desirable:

• IOSH membership, preferably TechIOSH
• Previous Hinkley Point C experience or an existing HPC pass
• Driving licence
• SMSTS/SSSTS qualification

Candidates must be able to provide a three-year work history, complete the required vetting process and be eligible to obtain an HPC pass.
