We are looking for a Female Campus Security Officer to work at our client site based in London. The site is a large International University with students from across the world. The Security Officer's role is to support the Campus Security & Risk Coordinator in delivering a professional customer focused security service to staff, students and visitors ensuring the health and safety of the University environment for the students, staff and visitors. The Security Officer will work as part of a wider team and will report to the Campus Security & Risk Coordinator. Where we welcome applications from all individuals, in this instance, we require female security officers to carry out duties that require females - such as female body searches on females, female bag search, entering female changing areas and female toilets.

A typical day in the life as a Campus Security Officer:

  • Provide visible foot and mobile patrols of University buildings and estate to reassure staff, students and visitors and deter criminal activity and anti-social behaviour
  • Attend incidents as directed in support of staff, students and public on University property
  • To attend and provide written security reports including; criminal, anti-social and accident, lost and found property
  • Direct and control vehicle movement and parking enforcement on the Estate
  • Offer advice and assistance to staff, students and visitors in protection of their safety;
  • To support Control Room operations including entrance receptions
  • Carry out other such duties as directed commensurate with the role of security
  • Supporting the liaising with the Police, Fire Service and other agencies in an emergency and on all issues affecting security, including high profile visits and events of all types which have a potential to create security concerns
  • Keep a daily log of fire alarm activations
  • Provide accurate information and regular progress updates as required by management
  • Liaise with both internal and external customers in a courteous and professional way
  • Undertake any training as required and ensure working knowledge is kept current
  • Keep accurate records of all checks and observations as requires
