Join Our Team as an Emergency Response Officer!

We are looking for a highly skilled, proactive, and adaptable Emergency Response Officer to join our London-based team. This is a unique and dynamic role requiring the successful candidate to provide emergency response, first aid, safety, and security support across multiple sites within the London portfolio.

As a mobile first responder, you will travel between sites using an electric bike, ensuring a rapid and effective response to medical emergencies, security incidents, and other operational needs. The ideal candidate will have strong emergency response experience, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure. Experience in Mental Health First Aid and emergency services environments will be highly advantageous.

About the Role:

  • Act as the first responder to medical emergencies, providing immediate First Aid and support until further assistance arrives.
  • Respond to security, safety, and welfare incidents across multiple London sites.
  • Travel regularly between sites using an electric bike, maintaining high levels of operational flexibility and visibility.
  • Coordinate and implement emergency response plans, ensuring incidents are managed safely and effectively.
  • Liaise with emergency services, site management teams, and key stakeholders during incidents.
  • Provide support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges, utilising Mental Health First Aid skills where appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate incident reports, records, and documentation in line with company and client procedures.
  • Support ongoing improvements in emergency preparedness, training, and compliance with safety and security standards, including Martyn's Law principles.

What we are looking for:

The successful candidate will be professional, reliable, resilient, and customer-focused, with a genuine passion for helping others. You will possess excellent organisational skills, strong situational awareness, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while delivering an outstanding service at all times.
 
Essential Criteria

  • Level 3 First Aid at Work qualification (or higher).
  • Previous experience in emergency response, emergency services, paramedic, security, or first aid-focused roles.
  • Strong understanding of incident management and emergency response procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to remain calm, resilient, and effective in high-pressure situations.
  • Demonstrable customer service experience with a professional and approachable manner.
  • Experience managing conflict, de-escalating challenging situations, and making sound decisions under pressure.
  • Full willingness and ability to travel between London sites on an electric bike (cycling training will be provided).

Desirable Criteria
  • Mental Health First Aid qualification and practical experience supporting wellbeing initiatives.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience within a security, emergency response, or operational environment.
  • Knowledge of Martyn's Law, GSB (Gold, Silver, Bronze) command structures, or related emergency planning frameworks.
  • Experience working within large corporate, retail, or multi-site environments.
