We are looking for a ESSC Manager to join us at our client site in London. Our client is home to a large multi-media company which includes, films and TV Shows. Reporting to the EMEA Account Director, the ESCC Manager is a role that provides leadership, management and effective delivery of a multi-functional EMEA Security Control Centre (ESCC) that delivers real time incident monitoring, escalation & reporting; CCTV, Electronic Access Control, Intrusion Detection System monitoring and management across multiple EMEA locations.

 

You will provide leadership, direction, training, welfare and HR support to the ESCC security team, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, policies & procedures along with innovation and SOC expertise while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.

A typical day in the life as a ESCC Manager:

    • Work closely with colleagues to ensure the effective supervision of the ESCC team.
    • Meet regularly with staff to review performance and address their concerns by ensuring that constructive, two-way feedback is encouraged and taken into consideration.
    • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with client stakeholders across the client business.
    • Develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with the systems specialists, management and vendor integrators.
    • Promote and encourage behaviours that improve the workplace experience.
    • Maintain and enhance the standards & capabilities of the ESCC team.
    • Ensure ESCC SOPs are managed, updated and audited, and innovations are introduced.
    • Ensure Site SOPs and Assignment Instructions are regularly reviewed & updated when necessary.
    • Liaise with and supervise all reports, ensuring that the highest professional standards are maintained in accordance with contract Service Level Agreements, SOPs, AIs & KPIs.
    • Report to and liaise daily with the EMEA Account Director to ensure effective and open communication of all matters pertaining to the delivery of a professional security service.
    • Effectively manage the ESCC by having a detailed understanding of its specific output, the security systems, platforms and other tools that allow for delivery of a consistent, accurate and professional service to the client.
    • Be the key point of contact for all daily operational security matters managed within the ESCC.
    • Understand the client's core business lines, activities and component parts, ensuring that the ESCC team is delivering the most effective security solution.
    • Be responsible for all assets (fixed and ad-hoc/temporary) & monitoring conducted within the ESCC.
    • Understand threat types (internal/external/consequential), impact and likelihood, possible consequences and business impact
    • Take ownership of and responsibility for all the security systems, tools, policies and procedures used within the ESCC.
    • Be responsible for all ESCC security activities & standards and ensure that all incidents are managed and responded to in accordance with established policies and procedures, conducting post incident reviews and debriefs and feedback.
    • Ensure new starters have been issued with the correct uniform and equipment, that they are formally introduced to their site and that all induction training and documentation has been completed prior to them commencing duty.
    • Manage staff training and development, focusing on succession planning.
    • Play a proactive part in the control of staff turnover.

 

  • What are we looking for?
    • Excellent knowledge and experience in the management and use of physical security systems and principles (not limited to CCTV, intrusion detection systems, electronic access control, social listening platforms, mainstream media and regional mass message notification platforms)
    • Excellent knowledge in Security Operations Centre management, with an emphasis within the corporate security sector at a multi-national, global organisation.
    • Proven experience in monitoring, reviewing, escalating and managing security incidents across multiple countries within Europe, the Middle East and Africa, in a highly demanding and at times, stressful environment.
    • The ability to work effectively, taking a methodical, structured approach to the effective management of all ESCC processes, procedures and incidents.
    • Experience in providing effective security solutions.
    • Ability to maintain and develop positive working relationships with the Client, Management, stakeholders and direct reports through excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
    • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office package; Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Teams - the successful candidate will also be required to use (or learn to use) Timegate (Time and Attendance system)
    • Excellent and effective communication skills, both oral and written
    • SIA – DS or SG
