Join Our Team as a Contractor Escort Security Officer on a 12‑Month Fixed Term Contract – A unique chance to shape something new!

A brand‑new corporate site is opening in the heart of London - and we're building a team from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to step into a fresh, modern environment with huge potential, where your contribution will genuinely shape how the site operates over the next year.

We're looking for a Contractor Escort Security Officer who brings confidence, professionalism and a calm, people‑focused approach. If you enjoy roles where every day feels purposeful, where you're trusted to take ownership, and where your presence helps create a safe, welcoming atmosphere, this could be the perfect next step.

About the Role:

You'll play a key part in supporting a major building project after Practical Completion, escorting contractors through highly secured areas to ensure snagging works are completed safely and efficiently. Your role is essential in maintaining the integrity of a dynamic, shared corporate environment.

This is a position for someone who enjoys being visible, proactive and engaged — someone who can balance attention to detail with a warm, reassuring presence.

As a Contract Escort Security Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Escort contractors throughout secure areas, ensuring safe, compliant movement at all times.
  • Manage access control, verify passes and maintain a strong awareness of who is on site.
  • Meet and greet visitors and contractors, offering clear direction and a professional welcome.
  • Protect people, property and assets by monitoring activity and reporting concerns promptly.
  • Support the Security Control Room and wider security operation.
  • Respond to fire and intruder system activations and investigate unusual conditions.
  • Act as a first responder during emergencies, liaising with control rooms and emergency services.
  • Ensure PPE compliance and prioritise safety for everyone on site.
  • Provide first aid when required.
  • Maintain strong communication with the security team and occupier service teams.
  • Deliver thorough shift handovers and respond to ad‑hoc requests from site management.

Why Join Us?

  • Annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks a year
  • Lifestyle Benefits – Mortgage and financial advice, vouchers for various shopping outlets and food stores, employee referral scheme.
  • Learning & Development – we actively encourage progression and offer various eLearning courses, progression, training whilst on site, apprenticeships, and in-house training courses.
  • Health and Wellbeing – Life assurance scheme, access to mental health support specialists
  • Access to an Online GP for you and your dependents.
  • Financial support
  • Discounts on hundreds of retail sites
  • Progression opportunities – many of our team go on to senior and site management roles
  • A welcoming, respectful team culture
  • Uniform and full induction provided
  • Cycle to Work scheme

What we are looking for:

  • To hold a current DS SIA Licence
  • Strong customer‑facing experience and the confidence to engage with a wide range of people.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to spot issues before they escalate.
  • High attention to detail and strong observational skills.
  • The ability to work independently while being a supportive part of a wider team.
  • Adaptability and calm decision‑making in a fast‑changing environment.
  • Stamina to remain in position for periods of time and handle occasional tasks
