Banksman – PRS Team (Birmingham Airport)

Location: Birmingham Airport
Hours: Full-time, 365-day operation - the shift pattern will be 5 on, 3 off, working varied 12 hours between 04:30 and 23:00

Are you looking for an exciting airside role where safety and precision are key? Join our Passenger Support (PRS) Team at Birmingham Airport as a Banksman, playing a crucial role in guiding vehicles and ensuring the safe movement of passengers with reduced mobility.

About the Role:

As a Banksman, you will be responsible for:

• Safely marshalling Hi-Lift vehicles to and from aircraft using hand signals and established procedures.
• Assisting the driver in positioning vehicles within 2 feet of aircraft doors for safe passenger transfer.
• Coordinating with cabin crew and ground staff to ensure smooth boarding and disembarkation of passengers.
• Supporting passengers onto the aircraft, into terminal buildings, or into vehicles using safe manual handling techniques.
• Acting as a customer service ambassador, ensuring passengers feel supported and cared for.

What We're Looking For:

• Excellent Customer Service Skills with proven experience of working in a customer service based role
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic IT skills – comfortable using handheld devices for task tracking.
• Experience in vehicle marshalling, ground handling, or similar airside roles is desirable.
