Aviation Security Agent

Hours: Full time, 4 on, 4 off, 12 hours a day.
Pay: £18.95 ph
Are you an experienced Forklift Operator with a strong commitment to safety, security, and customer service? We are looking for a professional and motivated Logistics Security Officer to join a high-performing Secure Logistics Team operating within a regulated aviation environment.
This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll combine warehouse operations, security screening, access control, vehicle inspections, escort duties, and customer service to support the safe and secure movement of goods, vehicles, and personnel. Full aviation security training will be provided.
About the Role:
- Safely load, unload, transport, and store goods using a Forklift Truck and manual handling techniques where required.
- Conduct security screening of freight, vehicles, baggage, and personnel in accordance with Department for Transport and aviation security regulations.
- Operate specialist security equipment including X-ray screening systems and access control technology.
- Carry out vehicle inspections, prohibited item searches, and escort duties within restricted operational areas.
- Perform traffic management and Yard Marshal activities, including vehicle identification and driver documentation checks.
- Complete accurate screening records, operational logs, vehicle checks, and compliance documentation.
- Support reception and control point operations, including visitor management, telephone enquiries, ID verification, and radio communications.
- Maintain the highest standards of health, safety, and security, ensuring compliance with site procedures and safe systems of work.

What we are looking for:
- Valid Forklift Truck licence with proven experience operating FLTs safely in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment.
- Ability to successfully pass aviation security vetting, including verification of a five-year employment and address history.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional and approachable manner.
- Basic IT skills and the ability to maintain accurate records, reports, and operational documentation.
- Ability to remain calm and make effective decisions when working under pressure or responding to incidents.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to provide clear and concise information.
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible with the ability to work a 4 on, 4 off 12-hour shift pattern covering days and nights.
- Physically capable of carrying out operational duties, including vehicle checks, security screening, loading activities, and site patrols.
- Previous aviation security experience.
- Warehousing or logistics experience.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- First Aid at Work qualification.
- Fire Warden qualification.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
