Join Our Team as an Account Director

The Account Director is responsible for the strategic leadership, commercial performance, operational excellence, and long-term development of, a major national client account. The role holder ensures service delivery is consistently aligned with client expectations, contractual commitments, and Wilson James standards. They will lead senior managers, drive innovation, own the P&L, develop growth opportunities, maintain strong executive-level relationships, and position Wilson James as a trusted strategic partner.

About the Role:

As an Account Director, you will be responsible for:

  • Provide insight and strategic guidance for long-term client security strategy.
  • Lead account direction, ensuring delivery aligns with SLAs, KPIs, and contractual obligations.
  • Ensure workforce planning, succession planning, and talent development frameworks.
  • Oversee recruitment strategy and retention initiatives.
  • Be Lead on contract negotiations, extensions, and variations.
  • Drive innovation across systems, processes and service models.
  • Lead audit and assurance processes.

What we are looking for:

  • Proven experience at a senior leadership level.
  • Strategic contract leadership and senior stakeholder engagement.
  • Understanding of risk, compliance, and H&S legislation.
  • Demonstrate the ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure.
  • Show reliability including the ability to deliver high standards of both punctuality and attendance in order to ensure team effectiveness and availability
  • Experience leading large operational teams.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
