We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Lifting Equipment Technician at Hinkley Point C.

As a Construction Lifting Equipment Technician, you will provide the engineering knowledge and examination support on the range of lifting equipment's and accessories used by the client.
You will be reporting to the Lifting Equipment Manager and your main responsibilities will perform maintenance of lifting equipment to ensure its technical integrity in accordance with manufacturer's instructions, legal requirements, and maintenance requirements.

Essential Qualifications:

• Qualified and certified (SAFed 001 Cat 3 or LEEA General, Manual and Powered) with practical/theoretical knowledge to task carried out and local requirements to inspect lifting equipment/accessories.
• CITB HS&E Specialist Supervisor Test (to be obtained before the start date)

Experience Required:

• Fully conversant with the equipment they are required to inspect and its hazards, including operation necessary for inspection activities.
• Fully conversant with relevant information relating to different types of lifting equipment & accessories i.e. Markings, certificates, and thorough examination reports, etc.
• Awareness of the relevant standards and regulations, and site-specific requirements and procedures.

Site Specific Information

• You must be able to provide a 3-year work/ unemployment/ education history required for vetting process in line with HPC protocols.
• You must be able to obtain the HPC pass.
• The site is located remotely and a bus journey of 45 minutes each way is required to gain access.
• This role is based on site and is currently operating a 9-day fortnight rota (subject to change).
