Join our team as a Security Dock Officer and play a key role in keeping our estate's loading bay and delivery areas safe, secure, and well-managed. In this busy, high-traffic environment, you'll be the first point of contact for vehicles, contractors, and deliveries—ensuring access is properly controlled, security procedures are followed, and operations run smoothly. With strong communication skills and a calm, professional approach, you'll help maintain safety standards, support facilities teams, and handle both everyday activity and unexpected challenges with confidence.

About the Role:

As a Security Dock Officer you will be responsible for:

  • Provide a visible, professional presence and deliver excellent customer service during all interactions.
  • Offer guidance and directions to visitors, ensuring smooth access to buildings and estate facilities.
  • Collaborate with other security personnel and estate staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Report hazards, incidents, suspicious activity, or notable interactions to the Control Room for appropriate logging and follow-up.
  • Uphold all security protocols while maintaining professionalism, vigilance, and discretion.
  • Monitor and control access to the loading bay, validating vehicle entries, deliveries, and contractor movements.
  • Ensure compliance with booking systems and permit-to-work procedures where required.
  • Perform visual checks of delivery vehicles and escort high-risk contractors or goods when appropriate.

What we are looking for:

  • SIA Door Supervisor Licence
  • CCTV Licence
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to remain calm in emergencies.
  • Strong situational awareness and sound judgement.
