Hours: 42 hours per week, 4 on 4 off, 0700 to 1900
Pay: £14.28 per hour

Join Our Team as a Fire Command Centre Officer

Working across the Kings X Estate a large, vibrant hub with a cluster of offices, public spaces, entertainment and shops you will be responsible for the safety and security of the area. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a great team and working with the local community and tourists that visit the area. 

The Fire Command Centre Officer plays a vital role in maintaining the safety and operational continuity of the estate's buildings. Based within a dedicated monitoring hub, the FCC Officer is responsible for monitoring security systems, managing key control and equipment handovers, and coordinating with both on-site teams and Control Room personnel. The role demands strong attention to detail, a calm and methodical response to incidents, and accurate record keeping. The FCC Officer acts as an internal communications and safety liaison point for the buildings team.

About the Role:

As a Fire Command Centre Officer you will be responsible for:  

  • Provide a professional, customer-focused presence and assist visitors with guidance and access.
  • Work with colleagues and estate staff to ensure smooth site operations.
  • Monitor and respond to CCTV, access control, alarms, and life safety systems in the Fire Control Centre.
  • Log all arrivals, departures, incidents, and equipment movements accurately in digital systems.
  • Report hazards, suspicious activity, and incidents to the Control Room.
  • Support site activity by liaising with facilities staff, loading dock teams, and tenant representatives.

  • Demonstrate excellent customer service.
  • Hold excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure
  • SIA Door Supervisor Licence
  • CCTV Licence
