Control Room Supervisor
Permanent Full-Time role
Location: London
Hours: 4 on 4 off shift pattern working days and nights.
Pay: £15.92 hourly rate

The role provides operational leadership within the Security Control Room, ensuring the effective monitoring of systems, coordination of security activity, and management of incidents across the site. The Supervisor is responsible for directing and supporting frontline officers, overseeing incident response, and ensuring appropriate escalation and communication during out-of-hours operations.
About the Role:
As a Control Room Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
- Actively lead and supervise a team of Security Officers, ensuring all duties are carried out in accordance with site procedures, policies, and operational standards.
- Monitor staff performance, conduct, and presentation, providing guidance and direction where required.
- Support the induction and ongoing development of staff, including the coordination of training records, SOP signoffs, and Health & Safety documentation.
- Proactively monitor CCTV systems for the prevention and detection of crime and to support the safety of staff and visitors.
- Ensure that CCTV monitoring, recordings, and personal data are handled in accordance with data protection legislation and confidentiality requirements.
- Respond to alarms from fire, access control, panic, and other security systems, dispatching officers as required and escalating in line with procedures.
- Manage fire system isolations and reactivations in accordance with authorised permits.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date Control Room documentation, including the Daily Occurrence Book (DOB), staff logs, operations logs, and building handover records.

What we are looking for:
- To hold a current DS SIA Licence
- A valid SIA CCTV Licence
- A current First Aid at Work certificate.
- A proven commitment to delivering high standards of customer service.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, accurate, and concise reports as required.
- A demonstrable interest in museums, galleries, and the wider cultural sector.
- Ability to remain calm and act decisively in high-pressure situations.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
