Join Our Team as a Security Officer/Driver!

We are seeking a professional, reliable, and security-conscious Aviation Security Officer / Driver to join our team at Heathrow Airport. This is a critical role responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of airport construction and bulk supply deliveries operating within the airside environment.

Working as part of a dedicated security team, you will escort and monitor bulk supply vehicles, conduct aviation security screening activities, maintain accurate operational records, and ensure full compliance with Heathrow Airport, CAA, and company security procedures.

This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong observational skills, and the ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced operational environment.

About the Role:

  • Escort and monitor bulk supply vehicles throughout designated airside routes, ensuring load integrity is maintained from entry point to final destination.
  • Conduct continuous vehicle monitoring and driving duties across the airport environment while maintaining compliance with security procedures.
  • Observe driver and vehicle activity, identifying, investigating, and escalating any suspicious behaviour or security breaches.
  • Maintain accurate operational records, including waypoint tracking and incident reporting systems.
  • Operate aviation security screening equipment including X-ray machines, WTMD, HHMD, and ETD equipment where trained and authorised.
  • Conduct personnel, vehicle, cargo, pallet, and load searches in accordance with regulatory requirements and site procedures.
  • Control access to security screening facilities, checking airport ID passes and verifying supporting documentation.
  • Report incidents, security concerns, suspicious persons, vehicles, or packages promptly while ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and aviation security regulations.

What we are looking for:

Essential Criteria
  • Full UK Category B Driving Licence held for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all required aviation security clearances, including CTC clearance and a 5-year employment/reference history.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to produce clear and accurate written and verbal reports.
  • Ability to remain calm, make sound decisions, and respond effectively during emergencies or high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a professional and courteous approach to colleagues, contractors, clients, and the public.
  • Good IT skills and ability to accurately complete electronic records and operational documentation.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Airside Pass and Airside Driving Permit (ADP).
Desirable
  • Previous aviation security experience.
  • Previous airside driving experience.
  • GSO Level 1 and/or DNXCT qualification.
  • First Aid at Work qualification.
  • Fire Warden certification.
  • CSCS Card.
